Government employee booked for Huda plot fraud in gurgaon

A state government employee was booked for allegedly acquiring an additional plot under the HUDA plot allotment scheme for the reserve category's special quota. The case was registered based on the complaint of the estate officer, HUDA-I.

A police official said that the estate officer, Om Prakash, lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines police station against the accused, Satbir Singh. According to the scheme,

HUDA seeks an affidavit from the allottee that they do not have any other plot in the same scheme. A resident of Indra colony in Rohtak,

Singh submitted a fake affidavit falsely stating that he did not have any other land, after his allotment. An FIR has been registered. In the last year's allotment too, Singh had acquired the plot.

"As per the complaint we have lodged an FIR against the accused under sections 420 (Cheating and dishonesty), 177 (Furnishing false information), 181 (False statement to public servant), 200 (Using as true such declaration knowing it to be false), 120 b (Criminal conspiracy) of IPC and are investigating", said Inspector B S Hooda, SHO, civil lines police station.

Two more FIRs had been filed a week ago in the same police station on similar cases, but no arrests have been made so far.
