DDA is going to launch an even bigger housing scheme in 2016 with 35,000 flats likely to be launched in the middle or end of 2016. The flats would be mainly located in Rohini, Dwarka and Narela apart from Vasant Kunj, Sheikh Sarai, Defence Colony and Kalkaji.
Most of these flats would be one-bedroom type, meant for the economically weaker section (EWS) category. However, there would also a sizeable number of two and three-bedroom flats on offer. Unlike the 2014 housing scheme, where 95% flats were one-bedroom type, the next scheme would have a mix of two and three-bedroom flats.
The prices of the flats are expected to be 15-20% higher than the flats offered in the 2014 scheme but they would be much lower than the prevailing market rates.
